Count us in! Start the weekend off at the Jim Henry Event Center with a delicious lunch from the <em>Enjoy Latin Food<\/em> truck. The Jim Henry Event Center hosts&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.roanetourism.com\/event\/156244\/food-truck-friday\/\">Food Truck Friday<\/a> each Friday throughout August featuring a different truck every week. This is an event for all ages and is FREE to the public. A short reloading intermission will feature a solo trumpet performance and the evening will end with Taps.&nbsp;Full menu, fireworks, and great drink specials \u2013 what more could you ask for?!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Note: fireworks donations are currently being accepted in the Ship&#8217;s Store &amp; Restaurant! Blue Springs Marina will match what is collected! If you plan to attend, please be safe and practice social distancing by remaining in your boat\/car during the show.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tune in for a virtual Independence Day celebration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>While some businesses have canceled their annual&nbsp;in-person Independence Day events, one group has put together a way to virtually celebrate the holiday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instead of the traditional in-person celebration the Young Professionals of Roane County have planned an event called&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/245504593413473\/\">Celebrate Together, Roane County<\/a>! Encouraging everyone to set-off their own fireworks at 9:30pm on July 4th to create a community-wide fireworks display!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/roanecounty1.files.wordpress.com\/2020\/07\/101905486_10158594064080850_1421307499763466240_n.jpg?w=960\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-819\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cruise your way past the weekend&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout the summer, on the first Tuesday of each month, Rockwood Merchants Association offers fun for the whole family with classic cars, hot rods and motorcycles at the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.roanetourism.com\/event\/156229\/cruise-in-downtown-rockwood\/\">Cruise-In Downtown Rockwood<\/a>!
