Boating Safety Education Class
Includes Tennessee Exam for TN Boater Education Certificate

Boater Safety Education Classes
Two separate courses on March 25-27 and May 13-15, 2025. These are two half-day sessions each 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Kingston Community Center
Adult: $45.00 per person age 18 or older
Youth: $20.00 per person age 17 and under
Family: $45 for one adult plus $10 per additional family member
(fees include course materials, and examinations)
Conducted by trained, boating-certified Coast Guard Auxiliarists. Topics include:
- Introduction to Boating
- Boating Law
- Safety Equipment
- Safe Operation and Navigation
- Boating Emergencies
- Water Sports
- Trailering
Questions are encouraged during class and instructors are available before and after class for additional boating discussion. The class is conducted over two days in 4-hour evening sessions. A test at the end will demonstrate your mastery of boating safety. Students needing the Tennessee Boater Education Certificate (participants born after January 1, 1989 must purchase in advance TWRA's exam permit to take the TN test in our class to earn their TWRA Wallet card certificate.
Pre-Registration is Required
Seating is limited so advance registration is required.
Registration period ends on 5;00 pm on the Friday before each class start date.
