Round About Roane is a volunteer-driven, senior-friendly, door-to-door transportation program for individuals 60-plus years of age. The mission is to provide essential trips within Roane County and medical trips to surrounding counties. 

Volunteer drives utilize their own vehicles. Riders can schedule trips for medical purposes, grocery shopping, visiting friends and family or to social outing at community locations. 

Volunteers accept ride requests that work within their schedule. 

During a trip, volunteers lend assistance as needed and stay with the senior for the duration of the trip. 

Volunteer drivers complete an application and an interview, pass background checks and complete training before beginning the program. Drivers must be 21 years of age or older, have a valid drivers license, vehicle insurance and commit to two trips per month.
