Bank Fishing
Here in Roane we have water practically in our backyards giving us access to rivers, lakes, and numerous creeks and ponds that skirt alongside our local greenways and parks. From these shorelines, bank fishermen can catch a variety of fish — bluegill are often at the top of the list, but catfish, crappie and bass are also common catches. Bank fishing near the TVA steam plant gives anglers an opportunity to catch striped bass, musky and even paddlefish.
